Large sliders are less expensive than twin, triple or Quadruple casments, or a series of Double Hungs and or Picture Windows mulled together.

Sliders Tend to Let in Quite a Bit of Light.

For cost reasons the home owner elected to have this slider installed as an insert which leaves the outer frame and trim. If in a bedroom egress situation it would have needed to be full frame Installed to meet code.
