Loyal Wood Siding and Trim

Old Wood Siding
Added in 1923, the old cedar lap siding and trim had some scarring and rot. An addition (right rear) made replacing all siding and some of the trim make sense.

New Cedar Siding
New cedar siding is no longer harvested from old growth and must be thourally primed front back and ends prior to installation to prevent early decay.

Wood Trim
Historically accurate cedar lap siding cost more and requires maintenance but is the right choice for some homes. Exposed rafters add beauty that some home owners refuse to cover.
